 UnitingCare Mirinjani
Village is located in the beautiful capital of Canberra. It is a
non-for-profit organization established in 1973 and working under the
auspice of the Uniting Church in Australia.
Mirinjani
Village has a long tradition of providing excellent care to its
residents and to its clients in the community.
This excellent
care has been recognized in a number of ways including being the only
ACT Home to be listed as a finalist in the prestigious national
Ministers Awards for Excellence.
Mirinjani
Village was also awarded 3-year accreditation for the services it
provides and in so doing received 50% of all commendable ratings
awarded for the standards in the ACT.

Community
Services

Community Care
Packages
These packages enable Aged people to remain independent and in their
own home with choices.

Wellness
Program
Offering therapies such as Physiotherapy, Aromatherapy, Diversional
Therapy, Music Therapy, to the frail aged within the community in
order to assist their care needs to remain low. The service operates
for 2 days per week.

Day Programs
These programs help people who live within the community, who are
caring for frail and aged family members. This program operates 3
days per week including a Saturday.

Self Care
Units
59 self-care units in Weston and a further 13 units in Narrabundah
offer independent living and security within the gardens and
community of Mirinjani. An emergency 24-hour call button is
available to each unit.

Assisted Care
Home (Hostel)
Provides 62 single rooms each with its own ensuite. Though the
majority of rooms are for permanent residents 2 rooms are dedicated
to respite residents. The Assisted Care Home offers a supported
environment to those who require assistance with daily living while
at the same time promoting maximum independence for residents as
valued members of the community.

Assisted
Dementia Care (Eabrai Lodge)
Catering for the needs of dementia residents this purpose built Home
offers 20 permanent and 1 respite single bedrooms each with their
own ensuite.

High Care Home
(Nursing Home)
A 60 bed unit with all single rooms. The Care staff delivers quality
care to very frail elderly with complex care needs. Care is provided
in a homelike environment so that he frail elderly are enabled to
maintain their privacy, dignity and independence.
