HACCP Food Safety Program Development & Implementation

PURPOSE

This course is designed to give Food Handlers the skills and knowledge to practice safe food handling techniques.

The course is delivered in two stages.

Stage 1:  Is a half day course  designed for workers in the food industry who regularly handle food as part of their daily duties.  It fulfils the Legislative requirements for food handlers’ annual refresher training. Participants who successfully complete this course will receive a Statement of Attainment in; HLTFS207B Follow basic food safety practices.

Stage 2:  Is a one and a half day course  designed for employees, supervisors, managers and HACCP Food Safety Teams. This course will give the participants the skills and knowledge to support them in the development and implementation of a Food Safety Program in their workplace, based on the principals of HACCP.

To successfully complete and receive the following Statement of Attainment, participants must have completed both stage 1 & 2 of this course.

  • HLTFS207B Follow basic food safety practices.
  • HLTFS309B Oversee the day to day implementation of food safety in the work place
  • HLTFS310B Apply and monitor food safety requirements
  • HLTFS311B Develop food safety programs
