Purpose: General
This course is designed for workers in the food industry who regularly handle food as part of their daily duties and provides the skills and knowledge to practice safe food handling techniques. Participants will be provided with a practical food safety training workbook.
Participants who successfully complete the assessment activities will be issued a Statement of Attainment for the Unit of Competency HLTFS207C: Follow basic food safety practices

- Safe food storage, cleaning, wash up, calibration, pest control, safe food handling, safe cooking, cooling, reheating and holding, safe transporting of food
- Responsibilities of a food handler under the Australian Food Standards Code
