Purpose: General
This one day course has been developed in response to demand by the sector. Participants will develop the skills and knowledge to comply with infection control policies and procedures. This unit acknowledges the importance of complying with an effective infection control strategy that ensures the safety of the client, maintains personal protection and prevents the transmission of infections from person to person.
There are two enrolment options:
- Participants who successfully complete the assessment activities will be issued a Statement of Attainment for the Unit of Competency HLTIN301A: Comply with infection control and procedures in health work.
- A Statement of Participation will be issued to all other participants.

- All staff responsible for the direct care of residents and clients.
