The role of the ACS Policy Unit is to support and assist ACS member organisations to achieve their organisational and operational objectives in housing and retirement living, community care and residential aged care. Objectives may include growth in services, better service delivery, streamlined operational processes and financial viability.
This can be achieved through:
° Advocating on behalf of the sector
° Lobbying and writing submissions to all levels of government
° Providing advice on management and service delivery
° Facilitating information and interactive forums on innovations, policy and legislation, funding and other opportunities
° Representation on industry reference groups working for change
° Building partnerships working towards common goals
° Developing tools and templates.
